Reality is not what it looks like

Reality is not what it looks like

Are we living in a simulation? This question has tried to be answered by many specialists, involving physicists, mathematicians and philosophers among many others.
The concept of the simulation theory explains that reality is not as real as we think, but a simulation running in a super computer created by a superior being.

An example which is in favour of this theory is the videogame named "The Sims" which represents different characters socializing with others and tries to mimic reality. In the game you can control the characters and their actions but if you don't, they would act depending on their needs, ressembling very accurately human behaviour.
This proves that characters in the game believe being living a real life, although they are in a simultion which tricks their minds to make them think that their reality is as real as ours.

The simulation theory might sound very imaginative and bizarre, but actually this topic has its origin in certain fields of sciences such as astronomy, physics and quantum physics.
The Swedish philosopher Nick Bostrom is in favour of this theory and they think that our reality is simply a programme running in a super computer.

This topic is one of the favourite of science fiction films. For instance, the film released in the 90's "The Matrix" in which an ICT programmer realises that the reality as he knows is just an artificial simulation and he has to make the choice between joining the resistance to fight against the rise of the machines or to live a fake life.

Unfortunately, there's no way to prove this theory because nature of reality is extremely more complex than the way in which our senses perceive it.

From my view, as this theory doesn't have any evidence that it can be based on, I consider that the only notion of reality worthed to be remembered is the one we feel.
